we all need a little more passion and a little less practicality.

because some things can't be reduced to a simple x+y=1 equation, but they're important.
because doing without feeling is like baking banana muffins without the bananas.
because you'll never meet someone who did great things, and didnt love what he was doing.

haven't blogged in a while. today was farewell assembly. which was pretty epic because it was the first time in my life that I ever really overslept and didn't wake up in time for morning assembly. seriously wth right! I think my mum switched off my alarm clock cos she thought it was damn noisy an I had no sch. anyway so I ran to sch. freaking ran for a train arriving in one minute can you believe it? usually I wld just laugh at stupid pple running for one-minute trains but tdy I was the only one. karma -.- reached sch in time for civics though and mdm lee was so sweet she wrote each of us a note and made half a class vid haha (((: nicest teacher I've ever had!!!!

farewell assembly was.. not as emotional as rg's one. but then again at least they didnnt play the vitamin c song cos that one always makes me cry haha. oh I loved the speaker the epicness of what he said onstage was like. omg it reminded me of how epicly I bomb my own interviews!! hahaha. plus I think alot of the stuff he mentioned were things that I was thinking about recently. things like I dont want to just follow the well-trodden path of pple getting a safe job, get married, have kids, accumulate cpf, retire, hopefuly die in your sleep. I want to do big things! but then again I need to grow the balls to do them. ohwell. oh and the batch song part was so awkward I had to hug a complete stranger and we were like commenting to each other on how awkward it was. uhhhh. yeah. WEIRDDDD.

Thai food after that with haze and Sam! quite nice (: although was having a stomachache after that so cabbed home and saw a doc. OMG THE DOCTORS DIAGNOSIS WAS LIKE MADE OF WIN.

"but I'm not stressed! IN FACT I AM STRESED THAT I AM NOT STRESSED OKAY"

so basically he insisted that the reason why I writhe in pain at night was stress. ohwell. oh and the taxi driver took me to holland instead of hougang. is my enunciation that bad wth???

was bloghopping a while ago and suddenly I came across the section blog! it's scary how many new batches have come in and misuzu and peixian are right at the top now. I still remember when we first made it! thought for so long about how to name it hahaha. and now aliza and xe are like sec fours it feels like a major timewarp ahh. i feel kinda ancient all of a sudden o.o

last day of school tomorrow omg can't wait till it ends for like a whole month teehee. (:

chorale concert on monday night was good (: met up with trish after school to attempt to study but of course the attempt failed. what I ended up doing was more along the lines of people watching while sitting in the comfortable armchairs at marina square starbucks. speaking of which, that place has really persistent caucasian salespeople. one of them grabbed trish's hand and started buffing her nail really enthusiastically, and we had to half-run half-walk away from him. now she has one really shiny nail haha. the concert itself was good even though I think classical music really isn't my thing despite having been in a musical cca for so long. the siewmai song was super entertaining cos at first eunice was insisting they were singing wantonnnnn mee, and I was laughing at her for hallucinating about food just because we had a rushed dinner. then the lyrics morphed into hakkau siewmai. (Y)

watched inception on wednesday after the econs case study test with ahma. bad choice to watch it at that time because it made my brain hurt even more! I thought movies were supposed to be brainless entertainment. anyway, the plot was nevertheless intriguing but WHY does leonardo dicaprio look like a middle aged old man now?? I thought guys were supposed to get cuter when they're older but urgh ild rather watch him in titanic anyday.

school today could be described in one word: COLD. urgh usually you know after you step out of the freezing temperatures of the classroom, there's this feeling of ahhh sweet relief but NO the temperatures outside were even more extreme and I seriously felt like I was back in Korea in winter and i had forgotten to put on a coat or something. GOING TO BRING A JACKET NEXT WEEK KTHNX.

should be studying during this period of time, but couldn't resist shopping yesterday with trish after the talk at suntec. we found this awesome shop with 70% discounts, so my pair of shoes went from an initial price of 70 bucks to 21 bucks only. I love sales (: it totally made my day hahaha. and we had dimsum at crystal jade hooray for xiaolongbaos!

Reese's sticks are SO good. salty peanut butter surrounded by crispy wafers and smooth chocolate (: wow I sound like I'm part of their marketing campaign or something but seriously, YUM. (:

Thai food after school today with haze sam em and kunhang! I swear we are the unluckiest people ever. it started pouring the minute we decided to start walking to the restaurant, and after we finally made it to the place soaking wet (I hate wet hair, damp socks and squishy toes urgh), the rain stopped completely. like, WHAT. but okay anyway the food was really good I can see why dear sam was repeatedly writing thaifoodthaifood all over my papers during gp. it has got to be the homeliest restaurant I've eaten in so far. kunhang was being maternal and doling out all the tom yam soup, which made it feel like some family dinner haha! oh and the spring rolls filled with beehoon were Really Good.

econs was kinda strange today she started off by having some miniauction thing for an econs book, and it totally reminded me of the game theory lecturer (omg the good old smu days T.T). except the auction was damn screwed up lol. and sneaky marc hoarded a copy of the book under his desk -.-!

okay time to do work. you know what sometimes I think sisters are pretty screwed up. the painful truth is that you are a retard in more ways than one so please don't embarrass yourself further by trying to come up with funky retorts that don't even make any sense. plus it's definitely not cool to "whatever" someone if you can't even pronounce the word.

didn't go to school today. was far more productive than if i had gone though! i actually did some form of work at home hows that hahaha miracle of the century. ild credit it to the fact that i dont wear contacts at home, but then i think sam will slap me again.

i have a whole box of yummy belgian chocolates at home from my aunt who stopped by for a short visit (she only stayed a while before flying back though) and GAH i keep making mini-excursions to the fridge to grab more of them because they are so freaking delicious :) somehow belgian chocs always taste creamier, silkier and smoother than the normal cadbury bars (1 for $2 offer now!) that i have to resort to buying in school to keep awake in lectures and tutorials. or maybe its just a perceived difference from excessive advertising hahaha product differentiation ftw. anyhow, EATING NICE FOOD ALWAYS MAKES THE WORLD FEEL LIKE A HAPPIER PLACE YAY (:
